However, the moment I opened the door, I saw the weird kitchen, and I smelled something "stinky", and I saw the "oh, no, he's White" looks on their faces...well, I knew I was in over my head. It was going to be a hard and complicated task (for all of us!) to get through a meal here, so I smiled and left. There IS such a thing as TOO authentic and TOO ethnic, but if you are Hispanic or speak Spanish, you'll have a better advantage over me.October 30, 2016
